Sunday September 13, 2015
Bluewater Leg 17 departed Monterey Sunday September 13, 2015 at 1:48pm under partly cloudy skies, 71 degrees F and 9 knots of wind.
3 souls aboard:
Lawrence Kerver
Mark Barrish
Paul Barrish
Route: Monterey to Santa Cruz, approx 25nm
Departure delayed due to finicky carburetor.
Predeparture
You can't go boating without maintenance and sometimes you have to just go with the flow and handle what comes your way. Luckily, after the crew spent the morning troubleshooting and cleaning the carburetor, the rest of the trip went smoothly.
When departure was assured, Amanda and I enjoyed lunch and cocktails with a fantastic view of Bluewater's departure from the Sandbar & Grill restaurant on Monterey's Municipal Wharf 2.
