2:30pm Mark: Bummer. Santa Barbara said they have no room at the inn. We plan to anchor east of the marina/wharf for tonight.

1:30pm Mark "Beautiful dolphin watching, including a pod of about thirty mamas and babies, each baby swimming right next to its mama. Wind has varied from 17 knots dead downwind to 15 on a close reach to dead calm/-currently motoring with the sails stowed. Two more skipjacks both on a cedar plug. We are now eating pesto pasta à la Lawrence just off UCSB."

But subsequently: Lo talked them into giving us a non-standard space in the marina! Woohoo!
